Dross And Drain Pans

During the skimming operation of the Casthouse furnace it is generated metal into the dross. Storvik´s concept for dross and drip pan takes out metal from the dross without any pressing.

Storvik supplies a concept which separates the metal from the dross without pressing, customers analysis show that they are getting 20% aluminium out of the total dross weight. This means that 20% can be re-melted on site, directly back to the Casthouse furnace. In addition, they have a 20% reduction of transport costs from the smelter and to the dross treatment source.
