Gas Skirts

Storvik deliver Gas skirts or gas manifolds for Söderberg electrolysis technology in our proprietary alloy PjN-G. A benchmark for our industry is that our proprietary alloy increases the lifetime with 2-3 times compared with other standard alloys available in the market. Which is a considerable contribution to reducing iron consumables in the aluminium industry. Storvik can offer recycling of used gas manifolds (circular economics).

Storvik have participated in several improvement projects such as point feeding for Söderberg technology, improved cooling rate to extend lifetime, standardisation of design between smelter locations and many more.
