RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION AND PRODUCTION

Consumption and production are closely linked, and both greatly affect the environment. For us it is important to approach more responsible production from a broad perspective, starting with decisions on which products to develop and its design. However, the most important element for us is that our products are made to last, as quality products that can be used for a longer time means that fewer products need to be produced.

CLIMATE ACTION

At Storvik we need to take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. We approach this with a wholistic view by looking at all levels of our business. We have adopted a lifecycle perspective through the business and aim to make an impact ranging from reduction of paper cups locally to larger scale reduction of our client carbon footprint.

WE PROMISE

To have no paper cup waste locally by 2024
To implement “Cradle to grave” assessment that considers impacts at each stage of a product’s lifecycle.
To implement clear labelling of raw materials so that they can be used for production later.

We achieve this by adhering to all relevant laws and regulations, fostering a safety-first culture, and ensuring every employee takes ownership of health, safety, and environmental protection. We are equally committed to safeguarding the environment, reducing our footprint, and contributing to a sustainable future.

Primary tools and systems we utilize to reduce risk:

Correct and consistent use of PPE/PPC (Protective Clothing and Equipment)
Safe Job Analysis before starting critical tasks
“STOP” for two minutes – a personal safety checklist before work begins
Reporting and investigating non-conformities and incidents, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
Monthly HSE meetings across all departments
Regular safety inspections and follow-up actions
